Bitter End Yacht Club Celebrates 30 Years of Fun In, On, and Above the Water Caribbean sailing and watersport resort hosts 30th Anniversary Celebration Week, February 28 -- March 5, 2005 Virgin Gorda, BVI (PRWEB) February 18, 2005 -- Bitter End Yacht Club reaches its milestone 30-year anniversary on February 28, and everyone is invited to the party. Located on the North Sound of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, Bitter End has a roster of festivities including spectacular fireworks, dinners, and live entertainment for all the guests to enjoy, whether its their first visit or their thirtieth. Guests participating in the celebration week at the Bitter End will enjoy a multitude of activities, including: • Sunday, February 27 To kickoff the week-long celebration, the Oscars will be televised in the Sand Palace and guests can take part in a special trivia contest.
• Monday, February 28 Guests will join the Hokin family and staff on Bitter Ends formal anniversary, February 28, at a lively party complete with fireworks, live entertainment and a special gala dinner on the North Sound. After the fireworks, a DJ will entertain the crowd at the Pub.
• Tuesday, March 1 An authentic West Indian Barbecue will be held on the beach along with live entertainment by a jump up band, Frontline.
• Wednesday, March 2 Guests will participate in a fun filled day of racing in the Beer Can Regatta and will later enjoy live entertainment by a local scratch band, The Hot Boyz.
• Friday, March 4 Guests will dine on a fresh seafood buffet while listening to The Reflections steel band. After dinner, the fun will continue with a disco party at the Pub.
After the celebration week, the party will continue with a host of planned activities throughout 2005 that include: • Enhanced Watersports Activities, in addition to a weekly GPS (Global Positioning System) Adventure
Guests will be able to enjoy various watersports activities and learn how to use the new state-of-the-art GPS technology and have fun while doing it. Other activities will also be available through our Adventure Club.
• Weekly Monday night birthday parties" A birthday party kicks off each week in the 2005 season with shared stories and a cake created by Bitter Ends own chef Winston Butler.
• Weekly Wednesday night culinary classics" Guests dine on recreations of Bitter Ends most memorable menu items, honoring an element of Bitter Ends history. Guests can expect distinctive dishes such as the pineapple flambé, a dessert hit from the 70s.
• Special 16 Sounder" drink of the month Bitter Ends signature 16-ounce, Caribbean-inspired drinks, known as 16 Sounders, have topped off many memorable days at Bitter End. To keep up the tradition, guests enjoy the drink of the month throughout 2005.
