Sunshine Factory Presents "Come Play With Me" An exhibit of anime-inspred artwork by Stella JiaJia Yang (PRWEB) February 23, 2005 -- Sunshine Factory is delighted to present Come, Play with Me, a selection of anime-inspired artwork in a range of media by Stella JiaJia Yang.
Stella JiaJia Yang, who maintains a studio in lower Manhattan, creates curvy seductive designs that swirl with vigor. Characterized by gleaming colors in a cartoon-like style, Stellas artwork exudes a fanciful playfulness, enticing us with its whimsical patterns and rhythms. With features, expressions and gestures evocative of Japanese comic art, Stella JiaJia Yangs designs typify the anime that came of age in the 1980s and has recently exploded into the foreign market.
In addition to fashioning captivating characters on canvas and wood, Ms. Yang designs brochures, business graphics, stationery, greeting cards and T-shirts. She also provides clients with customized artwork on a range of materials from stoneware to denim. The recipient of a Masters of Science Degree in Communication Design from Pratt Institute in New York City and a BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Stella has been exhibiting her artwork in Georgia, California and New York since 1997.
Come, Play with Me opens on February 21st at Sunshine Factory and continues until April 3rd, 2005. A closing reception with music by DJ Taisun will be held on Thursday evening, March 24th from 6-9pm.
