SecuraComm Wins National Transportation Security Contract SecuraComm Consulting, Inc has been awarded a five-year, potential $39 million contract with the United States Department of Transportation through the Volpe Transportation Center of Cambridge, Mass. Pittsburgh, (PRWEB) February 23, 2005 --SecuraComm Consulting Inc., an independent security consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, has been awarded a five-year, potential $39 million contract with the United States Department of Transportation through the Volpe Transportation Center of Cambridge, Mass.
Although the exact scope of work has not been revealed, the contract will involve a variety of transportation modes that may include airports, seaports, railroads, buses, subways, highways, bridges, and tunnels. We are thrilled to secure this long term contract and excited to work with the Department of Transportation and Volpe on this very important aspect of Homeland Security." said Ron Libengood, CPP, SecuraComms CEO and Principal Consultant.
The contract, titled Transportation Security Solutions" will allow SecuraComm to broaden the depth and scope of our consulting, assessment, security engineering, and project management service" said Libengood. To meet the challenges presented by the complexities of this type and level of government contract, Libengood is expected to add to his OHara Township staff and utilize specialists from many of his national affiliate offices. We are poised to leverage this opportunity into additional Homeland Security related projects with the Federal government," said Ron Heil, CPP, SecuraComms Director of Homeland Security Projects and antiterrorism consultant.
