Rock n Roll Hall Of Famers Make A Change

(PRWEB) February 25, 2005

The legendary Yardbirds (with founding members Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja) have made a change in their line-up.

Gypie Mayo is departing The Yardies in late March to be replaced by Jerry Donahue, formerly of The Hellecasters. Jerry's first gig with The Yardbirds will be on March 25th in London. John 'Gypie' Mayo will be launching a solo career.

The Yardbirds released a new album in 2003 on The Favored Nations label called 'Birdland' featuring guests such as Slash, Steve Vai, Skunk Baxter, and former Yardbird great Jeff Beck.

Most famous for launching the careers of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, The Yardbirds were inducted into The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 prompting a reunion with founding members Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja.
