He was personal, touching, prepared, and yet, spontaneous, working in a comment from his daughter from a moment before, 'If you dont win, youre still good." He told a great, short story, including dialogue about Sidney Poitier, and he got lots of laughs. And this time, unlike during his Golden Globes speech, he was able to talk about his grandmother without falling into incoherence. His only faults were that he looked down too much instead of at the audience, and he commented on his own speech (this is going to be the toughest part) instead of just delivering it."
