KC Grupp Congratulates Two-Time Winter Olympics Champion Skier Andrus Veerpalu on His Second World Championship Win

Estonian skier Andrus Veerpalu, a two-time Winter Olympics gold medal winner and one-time world champion in Nordic skiing, won the 15 kilometre classical style race at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec on Friday, 20 February, becoming the Nordic skiing world champion for a second time.

Tallinn, Estonia (PRWEB) February 23, 2009 -- Estonian investment company KC Grupp (http://www.kcgrupp.com/) congratulates two-time Winter Olympics (http://www.kcgrupp.com/)gold medal winner skier Andrus Verepalu on his second world championship win in Nordic skiing. Veerpalu won the 15 kilometre classical style race at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec on Friday, 20 February.

Czech Republic's Lucas Bauer took silver in the event, losing by 6.3 seconds, and Finland's Matti Heikkinen became third, 16.4 seconds behind.

Another Estonian skier, Jaak Mae, finished in fifth place.

Veerpalu won his first world championship gold in the 30 kilometre classical style race in 2001. The skier (http://www.kcgrupp.com/) won the gold medal in the 15 kilometre classical style race in both the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.
