The Darkroom: New Orleans Center for the Photographic Arts Celebrates its First Year

Saturday March 5, 2005 The Darkroom will host its anniversary celebration at 1927 Sophie Wright Place from 6 to 9 pm. The Darkroom is proud to feature artwork by local photographers; Katherine Slingluff, Ruth Robbins, Alexandra Jones, Jennifer Shaw, Frances Billes, Katie Cantor and Vania Plemiannikov.

The Darkroom is a community - access darkroom, featuring state of the art black and white and digital darkrooms, printing, framing and restoration services. Owner Charles Megnin has much to celebrate, We are thrilled by the incredible response we have received from New Orleans. It is a special pleasure to be operating in New Orleans, arguably the most photographically exciting city in the USA"

All are welcome to join the celebration and enjoy the work of some of the citys most exciting artists. The Darkroom is located in the Lower Garden District at 1927 Sophie Wright Place, the festivities begin at 6 and continue until 9pm.
