(PRWEB) March 7, 2005 -- The "Googols" have flown in from another galaxy to help children learn about the world, history, math and space. With great music and the help of their friends - Leonardo, Mozart, Cleopatra, and Benjamin Franklin, they turn learning into googols of fun"!

Googol Powers first album Multiplication Vacation" was just chosen as Canadas Favourite Childrens Group" at the 2005 Canadian Independent Music Awards in Toronto, Ontario.

Susan Jarema, creator of the Googol Power concept of layered learning through music, is thrilled by the positive response to this first album and is very honoured by this national award. Its hard to believe that one year ago, I was struggling with how to teach my young children math," says Jarema.

Today, not only has her first educational music CD won numerous awards, but she now works with a talented team of local producers, songwriters, artists, entertainers, puppeteers and vocalists who are equally excited at the prospect of helping children learn through music.

David Pavane, Googol Powers Music Director, was almost at a loss for words. I knew we were all writing good music, but winning this award was a complete surprise. This has been equally as thrilling for my wife and four children who were all involved in this project."

Googol Power has just completed a second educational album, Addition Celebration", and has launched Googol Learning Fundraising, which provides a means of introducing educational music CDs to families as part of Canadian school fundraising activities. Jarema comments, "We have put together a collection of great albums that teach through music. Schools can raise funds, artists can promote their work and families can learn."

Jaremas Googol Power Team is currently made up of 22 puppets and seven illustrated characters. Behind the scenes is an artistic collaboration of talent including David Pavane, Yurgen Ilaender (Mr. I), Gary Huntbatch, Jon Hemingway, Christine Frandsen, Krista Pavane, Mick Dalla-Vee, Doug Lucas, Kerry Lackner, Patti Broussard, Leslie Hepburn, James Kang, Guillermo Serrano, Corrie Mosier, Gloria Hole, The Rainbow Singers, The GoogolKids Singers, Tracy Major, Darrin Pooghkay and Alexandra Cox.
