Blue Platypus Designs: Garments That Speak for Themselves Launching a website with items priced to sell, Blue-Platypus.com is open for business. (PRWEB) March 8, 2005 -- Taking cues only from themselves, the masterminds behind Blue Platypus obviously have many ideas up the sleeves of their already popular line of T-shirts. Inspired by vintage clothing and furniture from the 1920s through 1960s, co- owners and designers Heidi and Scooter have just started to make waves in the fashion industry. By launching a website they are sharing their ideas with the public and offering a selection of original wearable art for men and women.
While the name, Blue Platypus is derived from a figment of our imagination; the designs are nothing but raw, true beings. Now producing most of their own T-shirts to use as a canvas, they utilize a wide variety of decorative techniques, from water base and plastisol screen-printing, to discharge, flocking, studs, rhinestones, appliqué and trim work are also among the interesting details. Almost everything put out for each season is dyed in custom Blue Platypus colors.
Working diligently now on their Fall 2005 line to include more accessories, outerwear and skirts for women, the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 selection is available at http://www.blue-platypus.com .
Maintaining a high level of quality, customer service and design originality is the core belief of the company. Heidi, a graduate of Otis with a degree in Fashion Design, and University of Michigan with a degree in Biology co-owns and designs with Scooter, an aerospace inspector for Northrop Grumman. Blue Platypus is located in Southern California.
