Carnival/MardiGras inspired Fashion Show Replayed Susan Di Staulo and SommerChristine have been invited to re-show their Carnival in Rio Fashion Designs in Phoenix. This time, joined by designers Lisa Jacobs for Sticker Club, and Lacie Murphy for Laciebug Designs. (PRWEB) March 13, 2005 -- Phoenix based fashion designers Susan Di Staulo, SommerChristine, Lisa Jacobs, and Lacie Murphy, along with wig artist Anna from DeviousWigs have joined forces to have yet another Rio/Carnival/MardiGras inspired fashion show. The show is to take place at the Four White Walls Gallery owned by photographer Sheila Bocchine.
Susan Di Staulo, who works closely with LABELHORDE'S Angela Johnson and Rhonda Zayas, designs womenswear of every genre, including eveningwear, sportswear, and swimwear. She loves the idea of swimming away as a mermaid when life gets tough, and became fixated with Brazil during the past year. The signature mermaid tail she infuses into many of her designs, coupled with her fascination for Ipanema, carried her into a Carnival inspired collection that made it's debut in February 2005. Her clothes may be purchased at The Lilypad Shop on Fifth Ave in Scottsdale.
SommerChristine, who is making quite a name for herself in the local swimwear market, adores anything that has to do with her motto "Peace,Love, and Surf". Her designs are modern, fun, and, casual-yet-sexy.
Lacie Murphy, who designs a line called "Laciebug Fashions", incorporates political staements, current events, and sometimes just plain old sex appeal into her creations for women of all shapes and sizes. Her designs are both intellectual and imaginative, and she is developing a a fan base among the Fashion followers of Phoenix.
Lisa Jacobs, who designs under the label "Sticker Club Girl" invents kitschy, retro, fun, and groovy fashions for women. Her work may be viewed on her website www.stickerclubgirl.com
All four have joined with wig designer Anna of DeviousWigs. Anna has traveled extensively and her wig designs are meritorious of sculptural recognition. Colorful, exotic, unusual, and artistic, her wigs are works of art. Some of her work may been seen on her website www.deviouswigs.com
The fashion carnival date is set for March 26th, 2005 at: Four White Walls 1023 Grand Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85007 Doors open at 7 p.m.
Local celebrity model Daynalyn Wain will be part of the show, and that alone is worth the trip. Daynalyn is an active member of the Phoenix fashion community and recently organized and produced a fashion and music fundraiser for Tsunami relief. She is known as the model who is beautiful both on the outside and inside, and understands that it is who one is and what one does that makes one "beautiful". She is a favorite model among many of the designers in the area.
Sheila Bocchine is a recent transplant to Phoenix from New York City. She owns and operates an art gallery called Four White Walls and is ardent in her quest to foster intellectual and creative growth in Phoenix. She promotes artistic awareness by hosting art and design related events at her gallery each month, with the community encouraged to participate.
There will be a trunk show featuring the designs from this event at the Red Door Gallery, owned by designer Lisa Jacobs, on the following "First Friday Art Walk" in Phoenix.
