(PRWEB) March 16, 2005 -- Unusual jewellery and gifts from new online retailer, FatlipÔ

Established during a ten-month trip around South America and South East Asia, Fatlip is based in Devon, UK, and run by husband and wife team, Steve and Sarah Watmore. The companys new website at www.fatlip.biz offers some unusual jewellery and accessories, handpicked from out-of-the-way markets all over the two continents.

Current favourites include fused glass pendants (4.50) and shell cased in silver (from 5.00). As well as the jewellery, the site also offers ethnic shoulder bags (from 5.00), some of which are used by tribes people when doing their own shopping. The Flower Hmong bags are definitely the brightest, most fun bags we have come across," says Steve. And limited in supply because we found them in the very north of Vietnam after a three hour minibus trip from the main town in the region and we may never get back there."

The couple met through their love of old Volkswagen (VW) beetles and camper vans, and have incorporated the hobby into their business. They stock a range of collectible models, and regularly trade at the VW festivals that take place all over the UK, as well as at music festivals and other shows. A calendar of events being attended by Fatlip in 2005 can be found on the website. As not all the products are shown on the website, it is worth paying a visit if youre in the area.

The main comment you may have about the website is the pricing. Every product on there is very affordable, both as a gift for someone else or as a treat for yourself. No item of jewellery costs over 10.00 and that includes the pieces set in 92.5% silver.

We had great fun negotiating with the stall holders at the markets, always arriving at a price that made us both happy," says Sarah. And even though I speak Spanish, at one particular market in Ecuador, it took us a good ten minutes to make the lady selling the jewellery understand that we wanted to buy everything on her table. That certainly made her smile, even though she clearly thought we were crazy."

www.fatlip.biz is open for business now. Orders can be made by submitting an online form, or by telephone, fax or post. Full postage and packaging costs are also clearly stated. Online photo albums show pictures of the couples travels, some of their suppliers and a wide array of foreign VWs.
