Local Business Making Global Connections Showcase at Online Expo is Opening Doors

Fun, easy, and profitable home-based business.

Edmond, OK (PRWEB) March 19, 2005

As the second annual Celebrating Home Business event kicks into gear through the month of April, local businesswoman, Kathi Black, is showcasing her business and our community on a global scale. The Expo Connector hosted over 80 vendors last year with up to 800 unique visitors arriving at the site each day.

Noah’s Ark Traveling “Stuff-n-Fluff” Animal Workshop serves the Edmond/Oklahoma City area with a unique, fun, and affordable event option for birthday parties, Scout troops, preschools, day care centers, summer camps, retirement homes, church youth groups, and fundraisers for your organization, etc. Noah’s Ark also provides a fun and profitable home-based business career for those of you that are looking to work from home. The Expo will allow Black to expand her business horizons and promote the Edmond/Oklahoma City area as a business leader.

“Over 23.7 million small businesses currently operating, 53 percent of these being home-based. The goal of the Expo Connector is to provide exposure for as many of those businesses as possible,” says Nancy Johnson, a market specialist who has been involved with business ventures since 1977 and the managing organizer of the Celebrating Home Business event.

The event occurs exclusively online, but offers the opportunity to connect on a local level. The event is part of a series held regularly at the popular online venue, providing monthly opportunities along with their major month long campaigns each April and October.

“While the event is online, we feel that it’s a great opportunity for consumers to look for local business owners to meet their needs,” says Johnson.

The event was a success last year, fostering good consumer relations within the secure venue that allows for real time interactions along with networking opportunities.

“This is a great community resource for the Small business environment,” says Jacquelyn Macknight, a Watkins consultant from Minnesota.

“That is what the Expo is all about,” says Johnson, “providing an comfortable atmosphere to make vital business connections”
