From Niche Market to Trend - Women Drive the Adventure Travel Market

“When I started AdventureWomen 23 years ago, people used to ask my clients ‘What’s wrong with your marriage?’ when they traveled on a women only adventure with me. The early ’80s niche market for women’s adventure travel has transformed to become an explosive trend in today’s travel industry. “Adventure vacations for women of average age 50 is the fastest growing segment of the travel market,” says Eckert.
