Art Knowledge News E-Zine Wins Foundation Award The Art Appreciation Foundation has given a 5-Star rating to Art Knowledge News a free online art E-zine, www.artknowledgenews.com The art E-zine also received a $150,000 unsolicited donation from the foundation. (PRWEB) March 25, 2005 -- The Art Appreciation Foundation board announced that it has awarded a 5-Star rating to the Art Knowledge News website: www.artknowledgenews.com as the most user friendly online E-zine that covers the 'World of the Arts' with daily updates, breaking news, photos,exhibitions worldwide, essays and satire, art history, art related quotes, and links to many worthwhile resources.
In addition to the award the foundation granted a $150,000 donation to support this outstanding art E-zine. Art Knowledge News has been keeping it's 152,500 free subscribers in touch with the 'World of Art' and is growing at the rate of 10,000 new subscribers every month. Lloyd S. Rubin, the Managing Editor said that, "The foundation donation will allow Art Knowledge news to be translated into several languages that will increase our readership in the Orient, Europe, Russia, and Latin America."
The Art Appreciation Foundation contributes $3.2 million dollars annually to art related non-profits, museums, art education,art programs for children with special needs, and buys art from emerging artists worldwide. The foundation also contributes art for charity fundraising events.
At present, the foundation has a collection of over 3,700 original works of art bought directly from emerging artists in 22 countries including Korea, Andora, Spain, Columbia, Panama, the USA, and Cuba. The ultimate purpose of the foundation's art collection is to contribute its art to non-profit fundraising events, schools, museums and to donate art to a series of online virtual sales that will benefit various charities that the foundation supports.
