Mothercare Completes Group-Wide Finance Systems Project

• Substantial implementation project completed successfully • CODA systems meet complex business requirements • All retailing, accounting, procurement, group consolidation and reporting systems integrated across the business

Harrogate, UK (PRWEB) March 6, 2009 -- CODA Group, the finance software specialist, today announced the completion of a substantial systems implementation project for International high street retailer, Mothercare plc.

Like many retailers, Mothercare has a wide Group structure made more complex by the recent integration of the Early Learning Centre into the business. CODA's flexible nature and user definable screens, along with its ability to integrate smoothly with other business systems including customer and supplier collaboration systems, helped make the project a success.

Mothercare's objectives for the project were to deliver efficiency across the business, between customers and suppliers, and to automate as many finance processes as possible to ensure accurate performance data at all times.

"We believe that having state of the art systems will enable us to be more competitive, at a time when efficiency and cost control are central to successful business operations," said Mike Rainer, Group Financial Controller at Mothercare. "We have linked our merchandising and EPoS environments with our financial management systems for all transactions, consolidation and reporting in order to maximise efficiency and control multi-currency expenditure with more confidence than ever before. We now have end to end accounting, reporting and analysis capabilities. CODA's project team have been central to the successful completion of this substantial systems improvement initiative."

Mothercare is now live and running with CODA's Financials accounting system, e-procurement, invoice matching, fixed assets and reporting software as well as its group consolidation system, Ocra. The retailer will use Cognos software for business intelligence in conjunction with these systems.
