Bitrix company has announced release of the new version of Bitrix Site Manager 4.0

The Bitrix Site Manager 4.0 can be used both by corporate customers and individual web developers as the base to develop new sites from scratch and manage the existing sites. The Bitrix Site Manager 4.0 enables to build as many sites as you need, using a single copy (license) of the product.

The important innovation is a unique components mechanism which provides visual publishing of the dynamic content. It is possible to display and manage any dynamic content (like news, web forms, polls, catalogs etc) simply using WYSIWYG editor. User simply chooses the component, drags it to the page and configures additional display parameters.

Template integration process was greatly simplified. Now it is possible to download the designed template as a single archive file though the web-interface. One template can be applied to several sites at the same time. Templates can be exported for using in another project or for selling it to the other Bitrix Site Manager users.

There are more than 100 new features introduced at the Bitrix Site Manager 4.0. SiteUpdate system was greatly improved, general system productivity was also increased.

License policy was slightly modified. There are two types of the licenses now,

- the license for the product copies

- the license for the additional sites included to the one product copy

There are two site licenses included to the product copy delivery. The licenses for the additional sites can be ordered separately. There are volume discounts available both for the site product copies and additional site licenses.

The partners discount system was modified. The partners prices should be calculated according to the customer order price. Also the partners are able to make the wholesale purchase, and activate the license key within 6 month after the purchase date.

All the clients with valid technical support get free possibility to update system using SiteUpdate feature. New product kernel is completely compatible with version 3.3, and there is no need to make any modifications of the existing projects.

Bitrix company gives 6 month period for the 3.3 version users, during this period previous license policy will be still active for the existing clients and partners.
