Cathy Serrano, Singer/Songwriter & Acoustic Guitarist, Releases Her Debut Native American Flute CD Entitled "Share The Wind" "Share The Wind", released effective March 17, 2005, Cathy's debut Native Flute CD contains contemplative and meditative solo native american flute music in her own contemporary style. (PRWEB) March 27, 2005 -- Cathy Serrano is an acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter, who also plays Native American Flute. The flute album is actually taken from some recorded sessions which Cathy and producer, Michael Patterson, recorded initially for use in other artists work. Michael encouraged her to turn the sessions into her own album, and here it is!
Quoting Cathy, "I chose this name because to share the wind is to me dual: both a physical and spiritual concept. That seems to tie into the Native American Flute and its music for me, as it is a beautiful instrument physically, yet there is something spiritual about playing it. Likewise, wind is physical in the sense that wind provides us with a constantly renewable source of power and energy; and spiritual in that to share the wind (while playing the flute) feels like you are re-awakening your own spirit -- it is a joy which is also constantly renewable."
A friend of Cathy's, Matt Taylor, local northern Indiana singer/songwriter, recently listened to an advance copy of the CD and has commented: "Well done! What impresses me is that you and Michael were able to keep all the songs unique, through melodic structure, production, and song order. It's a very pleasant and relaxing 24 minutes of music. They are arranged and performed very well "Grandfathers Britches" had really nice effects. You should be proud of your effort, and thanks for the "Collector's Edition" copy!"
