eSignet Pre-Announces Truelinks And Trueforms

Twentieth Anniversary of Web's Conception Marked With Anti-Fraud Enhancements to Links and Forms

Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) March 10, 2009 -- eSignet, Inc. (http://www.esig.net/) today pre-announced TrueLinks and TrueForms, hypertext enhancements designed to neutralize so-called "post-click fraud" brought about by clicking on deceptive links and submitting deceptive forms.

"That the Web flourishes as it does, precisely twenty years after inception and with 200 million live sites, is a testament to the genius of hypertext and its creators," said Larry Hughes, founder and CEO of eSignet. "That post-click fraud also flourishes, offers a different testament: Our business applications demand far more of hypertext than it was designed to deliver. TrueLinks and TrueForms change that once and for all."

TrueLinks and TrueForms are backward compatible versions of their ordinary counterparts designed specifically for business applications. Initially, their chief purpose is helping consumers sidestep drive-by malware and phishing sites. They differ from other products in the anti-fraud solutions market in a number of ways, all due to thinking about the problem in a different light.

"Ultimately, foiling post-click fraud boils down to four things," said Hughes. "First, it must be approached as a business problem that happens to involve security, not a security problem that happens to involve business. Second, the problem must treated once and at its root - links and forms - and not as a string of separate use cases as is happening with email, advertising and search. Third, the solution must broker hard and detailed facts, lest we defer completely to blacklist technologies that by definition are inexact and out of date. Fourth, the solution must convey assurance before people even consider clicking, and do so in a way that invites rather than demands or requires their attention. TrueLinks and TrueForms comprise the only anti-fraud solution designed from the ground up to do all of these things."

Availability:

TrueLinks (http://www.esig.net/) and TrueForms (http://www.esig.net/) will be generally available later this year to legitimate businesses, government agencies and registered non-profit organizations. Toolbar and add-on producers wishing to integrate the features of TrueLinks and TrueForms into their applications royalty-free are encouraged to contact eSignet as soon as possible.
