SAKS Fifth Avenue's CEO Steve Sadove To Be Honored At Fit Benefit Gala Mayor Bloomberg To Present Award on Thursday, March 19 (Vocus) March 18, 2009 -- Steve Sadove, chairman and CEO of Saks Fifth Avenue, will be honored by the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and FIT's Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries at the college's benefit gala: "One Person, One Company, One College Make A Difference." Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will present the award.
Carolina Herrera, Jason Wu, Peter Som, Olivia Chantecaille, Steven Kolb, Amy Astley, Tinsley and Topper Mortimer, Susan Fales-Hill, ABT principal dancers Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beloserkovsky, Daniel Peres and Sarah Wynter, Mary Alice Stephenson, Robbie Myers, Joe Zee, Jay Strongwater, Giorgio Canali, and Ron Frasch are among those expected to attend. Sony artist Chris Mann will perform.
What: The gala benefits FIT's Educational Development Fund, which assists the college with scholarships, technology, and student services, among other priorities.
A creative collection of black pumps reinterpreted by FIT Accessories Design students as New York landmarks, such as the Empire State Building or the Brooklyn Bridge, using CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements, will be on display throughout the evening.
