New SMS Marine Forecasts for Mediterranean, Northern France, Atlantic - Free Pan Mediterranean Forecast Launched On the Web

Every day Metmarine.com offers multi day forecasts, together with synoptic charts including detailed forecasts for the Côte d'Azur and all French coasts, with sea state, wave heights, storm warnings, and a free large area Mediterranean forecast.

(PRWEB) April 3, 2005 -- Metmarine SARL has added to its range of services by including sea areas from Northern Spain, the Atlantic and Channel coasts of France to the Belgium border. All forecasts are supplied and translated directly from Meteo France, and are now available via SMS as well as the Internet.

Peter Herbert, the founder adds that The new service was as per clients request for a service that simply allowed ad-hoc forecasts to be received without prior registration. These are now available by typing MET and SEND to 80160. The area codes are as shown below. No access tokens are required. Many users found the telephone services were not audible in storm conditions, and with SMS the data can be easily stored and reviewed.

The new coastal forecasts are also available on the web site www.metmarine.com and also via Telephone Freefone in France 0800 9000 51 or 0161 444 8555, adding to the original Mediterranean service that is accessed via tokens that can be purchased on the Internet or during the call.

SMS messages are price at 1.50 with a maximum of 3 as detailed forecasts may be up to 3 or 4 messages in length, so these additional messages are sent free of charge so that detail is included. SMS storm warnings and wave heights are also available, selectable from the web site to coincide with the dates of your voyage, allowing for automatic receipt of SMS warning messages.

Charges for viewing the multi day forecasts and synoptic charts via the web are 2€ (1.50) for unlimited access. To use the freefone service simply dial 0800 9000 51 in France and follow the instructions to purchase access tokens.
