Artist Launches Website and Career

Shortly after deciding to launch a career painter Meesook Choe was offered to exhibit her art in New York. She also launched a website with most of her paintings available for purchase on-line.

(PRWEB) April 5, 2005 -- MeesookArt.com opened for business this week, showing the works of New Jersey painter Meesook Choe. Connect Computing developed and launched the site within three weeks of the initial proposal and shortly afterwards, Ms. Choe was invited to exhibit her works in New York City.

Once deciding to "getting serious" about having a professional career, not only was a web site developed but through other means, Meesook Choe was offered to exhibit her art in New York.

Ms. Choe describes her work as a form of "impressionistic expression". Most of her work is her website and can be seen until May 13th 2005 at The Berlitz Language Center in the Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Connect Computing, used an Open Source e-commerce platform to quickly implement the site. "The site looks a lot different than many OSCommerce sites because of the content. However, the way the Open Source community has developed this software made it extremely easy to create what Meesook wanted", said Roy Hoobler of Connect Computing.

Roy went on to say, "The project went almost flawlessly because we had some good examples of what we wanted to create and Meesook was involved in every step of the processes. When she had a suggestion, I took it seriously and most of the time implemented it quickly. This meant some give and take but the final product turned out great."
