CVAC Systems, Inc.: The Doctors TV Show, which airs via the CBS network, will air a segment Monday, March 23 to talk about the CVAC™ process and its potential use in helping to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. Karen Herbst, MD, PhD, an Endocrinologist affiliated with the UCSD Medical Center and the VA San Diego Healthcare System, discussed this new modality being investigated for utility in reducing insulin resistance and risk of diabetes.

The cyclic variations in altitude conditioning™ (CVAC™) process is a rhythm-based sequencing of pressure profiles that cycle both pressure and temperature at prescribed frequencies.

The CVAC process is delivered via a single-occupant altitude simulator; a contained and variable-controlled environment. A CVAC session is expected to provide an exercise environment for the entire body without the effort of exercise. "We expect it will be shown that CVAC is another form of very effective exercise; with benefit in improving an individual's physical fitness, and amelioration of insulin resistance.
