San Ramon, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2009 -- Sculptor, Adam Reeder is receiving national attention for his new sculpture series titled: "Socio-Technic Evolution" (http://adamreeder.com/socio-technic_series.html). The sculptures are iconic, greek art figures with modern technological devices like iPods, iPhones & video game controllers.

In a recent live broadcast interview on the 'Your Mac Life Show', Reeder explained when the idea of doing the series occurred to him. He said: "My six year old daughter asked me for an iPod for her birthday instead of a Barbie doll." He continued: "I realized how much technology has changed the way we live our lives".

The Socio-Technic Evolution series has garnered the attention of art critic, Nicholas Forrest, who remarked, "Adam...has taken the conventions of classical sculpture and added a 21st century twist"

The piece, "Pan With His iPod" won 1st Place for Figurative Sculpture in the San Francisco Academy of Art's 2008 Spring Show.

In 2009, Reeder has been invited to exhibit pieces from the series in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Houston and other locations. He has also gained coveted art representation in San Francisco & Beverly Hills.
