Terry Vaughan Brings Leadership, Empowerment, and Survival to Corporate Team Building

High Intensity Teambuilding is the creation of Terry Vaughan. Terry is a former member of the British Royal Marine Commandos, one of England's most elite military branches. His training encompasses not just learning to survive in various climates, but also gaining the leadership qualities he successfully promotes through High Intensity Teambuilding. His background and fresh approach gives a new perspective to leadership training and personal empowerment.

Terry has recently conducted a team building event for Lake Norman's Biggest Loser 2009. The event was March 8, 2009 at Crowders Mountain in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He took the team members through a survival training exercise that included hiking, building a shelter with survival items, water procurement, understanding what is edible in the woods, and direction finding without a compass. The process teaches team members to work together under strenuous circumstances and to build leadership skills.

Terry's approach to his work comes from his personal philosophy that people don't care what you know, until they know you care.

As Terry states, "You have to be surround yourself with people you want to see improve and grow in order to see improvement in yourself. The only way to do that is to be challenged."

This idea is the premise for the High Intensity Teambuilding approach. Whether it is one of their outdoor program or a speaking engagement, Terry works to get people out of their comfort zones and to break their habitual patterns of thinking in order to open themselves up to new opportunities.

With each break through, Terry brings a sense of humor to all the work he does. He understands that even when faced with the challenges of career or life a sense of humor is critical to growth.
