Spork Marketing President Jason Lancaster Now Google Qualified Advertising Professional

Jason Lancaster, president of Denver Internet marketing firm Spork Marketing, LLC, is Denver's newest Google Qualified Advertising Professional. Google's recognition certifies that Jason is a capable and qualified Internet marketing expert.

Google's Advertising Professional Qualification Program has three main criteria. First, candidates must manage multiple advertising accounts at a certain minimum spend. Next, candidates must carefully study Google's advertising system. Finally, candidates must pass Google's certification exam.

"Truth be told I should have been a Google qualified advertising pro years ago," said Lancaster "I've been managing AdWords accounts since early 2007...it just took me two-and-a-half years to actually sit down and take the test."

Jason Lancaster notes that, while he's pleased to be recognized as a Google Advertising Professional, this recognition only serves as proof of a minimum level of Google advertising qualification.

"No disrespect to Google's program, but this achievement shouldn't be viewed as proof of anything more than a basic understanding of Google's advertising systems," says Lancaster "Beware of any Internet marketing consultant who portrays this qualification as anything more than it is - acknowledgment from Google that he or she has a basic understanding of their advertising system."

Lancaster says that a consultant's experience is critical to their ability to maximize a client's results from Google's advertising network.
