The most disruptive force in information technology since the advent of the Web will be the focus of the first Minneapolis/St. Paul CloudCamp on the University of Minnesota campus on April 18 from 9am until 3:30pm. Over 175 people have registered for this free event which will be followed by a reception sponsored by VISI at The Bulldog in Northeast Minneapolis. For more information, CloudCamp Minneapolis.

The "unconference" agenda includes lightning talks from national and local leaders in cloud computing, an unpanel, and multiple rounds of attendee-driven presentations.

"Cloud computing is on the minds of everyone in technology these days. The Twin Cities has a number of exciting organizations innovating in this space, and many others want to see what cloud computing can do for them," says local CloudCamp organization George Reese of enStratus. "This unconference will bring it all together."

Unlike a traditional conference, CloudCamp is an unconference in which the attendees propose and lead discussions on areas of interest to them. The topics may be anything in the cloud computing space. To submit ideas for sessions, contact George Hadjiyanis via cloudcamp (at) gmail (dot) com.
