DynDNS Launches Recursive DNS Service

Dynamic Network Services, Inc. (DynDNS) announced today the immediate availability of their new Recursive DNS service, one of the first recursive DNS products in the marketplace designed for customers with dynamic IP addresses.

Manchester, NH (PRWEB) April 20, 2005 -- Dynamic Network Services, Inc. (DynDNS) announced today the immediate availability of their new Recursive DNS service, one of the first recursive DNS products in the marketplace designed for customers with dynamic IP addresses.

"Recursive DNS is the service that allows a customer's computer to look up any website or other service the customer is accessing on the Internet," explained Tom Daly, DynDNS Chief Infrastructure Officer. "Typically, this service is provided by the customer's ISP, but with recent ISP recursive DNS failures, our customers have expressed a desire for us to provide this type of service."

The DynDNS Recursive DNS service is seamlessly integrated with other DynDNS services, allowing customers to update their authorized IP address using the same update clients that they use to make changes to other DynDNS hostnames, either through software or through their router. The authorized IP address can also be updated from a simple form on the DynDNS website, which is always available via the Recursive DNS servers.

DNS served by DynDNS is based on a global infrastructure and is hardened against pharming scams and other security exploits. This network is fault tolerant and has experienced an overall uptime of 100.000%.
