With an increase in the prison population, Innovative Influences, Inc. has stepped up to the plate to help inmates, who are deemed eligible to participate in a work-release program, to gain the knowledge, skills and tools to make a transition into and become productive members in society.

Innovative Influences corporate office is located in Houston, Texas. The mission of the organization is to influence the community with innovative solutions that fosters positive growth and development," says Debra Gauthier the founder of Innovative Influences, Inc.

Innovative Influences, is the parent company of what will become several entities that are committed to developing human capital and restoring all of mankind. The initial project's objective is a common issue that affects us globally, "how to reduce the rate of recidivism?"

According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice more than 600,000 inmates are released from prison each year. Most make a reentry back into society without a job, skills, education and nowhere to go. Within 3-years the majority of the inmates will return to prison. "How do we reform a system whose participants often return to the same old behavior which the system was originally designed to deter? I believe that people will change, when they are given a clear path or direction as to what behaviors or lifestyle choices need to be changed", says Debra Gauthier.

In April 2005, Innovative Influences, Inc. began its program development phase to create a work release center that fosters spiritual and educational growth while promoting rehabilitation, job readiness, and life management skills. These are key components to sustaining a life long commitment to make the transition into society, to become that productive law abiding citizen and to serve as a role model to those that are dependent upon them.

Innovative Influences, Inc. has joined several member organizations that are considered pioneers in the corrections industry to help effectively reduce the rate recidivism.
