Prominent Industry Executives, Entrepreneurs, Government Officials, Academics, Legal Experts and Consumer Advocates Gather at the 2009 Tech Policy Summit in San Mateo

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) April 20, 2009 -- Now in its third year, Tech Policy Central has brought Tech Policy Summit to the Silicon Valley. Tech Policy Summit is a three-day executive gathering that will focus on the theme "Accelerating Innovation and Economic Growth," and the impact that policy decisions by the Obama administration and 111th Congress stand to have on tech innovation in areas like broadband deployment, smart grid technologies, digital privacy rights, spectrum access, net neutrality and patent reform.

Tech Policy Central's mission is to encourage more nonpartisan dialogue between technologists and policy experts and to make sure that there is greater accord between what happens in D.C. and what matters in Silicon Valley. At the Summit, over 60 executives, policy experts, and high-level members of the Obama team and Congress will be on hand to share their perspectives.

This year, Tech Policy Summit will also be co-located with two new conferences: The Free! Summit and TPS: Broadband Innovation. The Free! Summit is a half-day conference about the "economics of free" and its impact on the digital economy. TPS: Broadband Innovation is a daylong event focused on improving broadband access and adoption in the United States.
