
Center for Training Innovations at Southwestern Illinois College Offers New Online Courses The Center for Training Innovations at Southwestern Illinois College has partnered with Gatlin Education Services to provide new courses online. The courses are self-paced and not for college credit; they are designed for individuals looking to switch career paths, obtain advanced training and certifications, or for first time job seekers who need specialized training. BELLEVILLE, IL (PRWEB) April 28, 2005 In response to overwhelming interest in online, non-credit, career training certificate programs, the Center for Training Innovations at Southwestern Illinois College has partnered with Gatlin Education Services to provide programs in Microsoft MCSE, MCSA, MCSA+, and MCDBA certifications, dental assistant, pharmacy technician, travel agent, project management, veterinary assistant, bookkeeping, Six Sigma, eBusiness, lean manufacturing and video game design and development. The courses are all open enrollment and self-paced, and students are paired with a personal instructor. Courses take an average of 90 days to complete and provide training for entry-level positions. Labor market information released by the Illinois Department of Employment Security finds that many popular occupations are expected to experience significant growth through 2012, including those in the Âhot trend areas of dental assistants and pharmacy technicians. According to the statistics mentioned above, dental assistant positions are expected to expand by 24.28 percent; a growth of 3,783 jobs. Pharmacy Technicians will benefit from a 23.67 percent increase. Job seekers can be trained in these occupations by taking online courses offered through the Center for Training Innovations via Gatlin Education Services. They offer non-credit certification programs in the fields mentioned above, as well as many other high interest areas.
