Striped-Bass-Fishing.com announced today it has added the capability to provide reminders on the free web pages it provides to its members.

The new feature is different than most reminder software because it is web based and simply displays the reminder as an easily identifiable image that contains a link to the Event on the free web page provided to the member. Reminders can be easily added, re-scheduled or deleted.

Andy Derrick the owner and admin of the site said that he is amazed at how many people download crap on their PC (much of it often containing spyware) that starts up when the PC is turned on and runs constantly in the background eating up their PC memory, other computer resources and often causes slow performance and stability issues.

The design and approach that was implemented allows for reminders to be available from any PC a user may be working on and it offloads the need for additional memory and processor usage that is often insufficient on many PC's to start with. The software had to be very user friendly and efficient because the targeted audience "fisherman" are often not real computer savvy and many are susceptible to issues associated with most free programs as well as having low end PCs with dialup connections.

The free web page of which the reminder software is a part of allows users with little or no html knowledge to create a web page by answering basic questions. The web page software also allows a user to create a customized news page that also sports the ability of "filtering in" and "filtering out" of specific items based on the users preference.

As far as fishing sites go, the site, which was recently started as a hobby is definitely high tech offering a rich set of features on its site and in the additional free features if provides its members.
