Local Maryland Lawyer Testifies Before Congress

Brett Weiss, Esquire of the suburban Maryland law firm of Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, PA recently testified before the U.S. Congress House and Judiciary Committee on bankruptcy and credit issues.

Greenbelt, MD (Vocus) April 21, 2009 -- Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, PA is pleased to announce that Brett Weiss, head of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group, recently testified before the U.S. Congress House Judiciary Committee on bankruptcy and credit issues.

The invitation was extended by the Honorable John Conyers, Jr., Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.

Mr. Weiss spoke on April 2, 2009, on the topic, “Consumer Debt: Are Credit Cards Bankrupting Americans?”

As part of his prepared remarks, Mr. Weiss stated:
