Emisis to Play Semi-Final Round of Emergenza Festival in Chicago

Showcasing one of the most high-energy live performances in Chicago, Emisis has shined in the first two stages of the festival through their ever growing and viciously loud fan base. Emisis now enters the heightened competition of the Semi-Final round at the Double Door.

Crown Point, IN (PRWEB) April 29, 2005 -- Forming as a complete band less than a year ago, the energetic, fresh-faced Chicago rock group Emisis has stormed into the citys music scene with a fierce rumble. Founding their solid belief that nothing will stand between them and their dream of playing to the world, Emisis has embarked on a rollercoaster journey into the epicenter of the Emergenza World Music Festival. Showcasing one of the most high-energy live performances in Chicago, Emisis has shined in the first two stages of the festival through their ever growing and viciously loud fan base. Emisis now enters the heightened competition of the Semi-Final round at the Double Door.

With projected ticket sales higher than their previous shows, Emisis holds high hopes and ambitions for winning the audience-based progression at the Double Door. Only one of the eight bands performing on Thursday, May 5th will continue on to the next stage of the contest; the band holding top votes at the end of the night will move on to the regional finals at the Metro on June 25th, a goal Emisis has kept in sight since the beginning of the festival in December. The Metro show, judged by panelists selected from within and throughout the music business, will determine the winner of a fully paid trip to Rothenberg, Germany. This last stage of the competition will crown the winner of the Ernie Ball Guitar Strings-sponsored book-in on the US Warped Tour.

Priding an impressive first year run, Emisis has debuted throughout clubs in and around Chicago including the Elbo Room, Underground Lounge, The Note, OMalleys and J.J. Kelleys. With a four-song demo and radio play being introduced to the public, fans both local and nation-wide are now zeroing in on the driving rock that Emisis offers. While the Emergenza Festival and the hopes of winning now lay on the minds of Emisis, they remain occupied with writing new material and searching out avenues of growth.
