Chairman and CEO of BridgeCreek Group to Receive Excellence Award from US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce

Frank Jao to be honored at CelebrAsian 2005 Annual Business Conference on May 5 in Washington, DC

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 2, 2005 -- The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) will present the Excellence Award in Economic Development to Frank Jao, Chairman and CEO of the full-service real estate company, BridgeCreek Group, Inc., at the Annual Excellence Awards and Scholarships Dinner on May 5, 2005 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The black-tie gala will be held on the second day of the three-day business conference, 20th Anniversary CelebrAsian 2005: Diversity Means Business-the largest annual national Asian American business conference in the United States and the only business conference designed for the Asian American community. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez will deliver the keynote speech at the awards dinner.

The Vietnam-born Jao has been called by the California mainstream media as Mr. Little Saigon" for his ground-breaking work in building the city in Orange County, California, with the largest Vietnamese population in the United States. His company provides services in property acquisition, land development, re-development, management, leasing, asset management, and management consulting that cover 1.5 million square feet of real property in the country. His companys portfolio includes shopping centers, office buildings, and apartment complexes, with over two dozen partnerships, LLCs and LTDs in the United States and Asia. He is also a managing partner at BridgeCreek Merlin Chinta (BMC), China Property Fund.

Jao will be honored along with three other outstanding Asian Americans during the dinner, where USPAACC will also announce its 2005 Ten Most Influential Asian Americans in Business. The Corporation of the Year and Government Agency of the Year awards will also be handed out at the same event.

CelebrAsian 2005, which coincides with the national observance of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, is open to all those who do business or would like to do business with Asian American suppliers, importers/exporters in the Asia-Pacific region, Fortune 500 companies, the federal government and the minority business community. Over 1,000 participants are expected to attend the conference with sessions to be held at the U.S. Department of Commerce and at the conference hotel, the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
