Carol McIntyres Visions of Red Carol McIntyre, famed watercolor artist, will be hosting her first Colorado art exhibition at the L.I.W. Cargo Fine Art Gallery in Manitou Springs from June 1st to June 30th in honor of her new series, The Wonders of Red." (PRWEB) May 2, 2005 -- Carol A. McIntyres work gives more to the beholder than meets the eye," states one observer. It stimulates imagination. One partaker of her work was so overcome by her piece, Crossing to the Other Side," that he was inspired to write a poem detailing the revelations he received from looking deep into the landscape portrayed. The countryside bridge drew his eye from the dark shadows of the foreground to the sunlit pastures that lay at the bridges end. The poem reflected his path and his tribute to an artist who helped him find his way across the bridge to the world of creativity.
Crossing to the Other Side" is one of several paintings in McIntyres first Colorado show, The Wonders of Red." This piece stands out uniquely from the collection as the emphasis of red so obviously shown by the other paintings is not shown in its pure form, but instead it shows off the color red in all its possibilities-shades of purple, orange, and magenta.
A new resident to Colorado, Carol McIntyre finds the move has brought her a sense of renewal. Her path of learning and exploration took her from her home in Minnesota to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where McIntyre believes, Theres more to glean here artistically."
By translating her stories into metaphors on canvas, McIntyre is proving to be an artist of passion, soul and intellect. She believes her role as an artist is not only to create beauty, but also to connect with her audience at an emotional level where her art can evoke memories, serenity and intrigue. However, McIntyre also takes responsibility in her role as artist by communicating with her audience and providing education about the mysterious process of artistic creation. She wants each person who views her work to understand that its not just talent; its hard work, time, and tenacity."
McIntyre remains open and approachable to all those who wish to discuss the complexities of her work and the procedures that go into creating a painting. Whether her audience is artistically gifted or simply intrigued by the process, she wants to inspire each person to take the challenge of exploring their own creativity. The important point she stresses is that each man and woman must find his/her own way. There is no formula for creativity, only the inspiration to try.
Become enraptured with The Wonders of Red," June 1st through June 30th at the L.I.W. Cargo Fine Art Gallery, 713 Manitou Avenue, Manitou Springs.
