GasTOPS Opens Service Centre in Eastern Canada

GasTOPS Ltd. celebrated the grand opening of its new Service Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on 23 April 2009. This centre will be the focal point for the company's technical services business, providing aircraft component repair, health monitoring and non-destructive testing services for both military and commercial customers in Canada.

Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) April 26, 2009 -- GasTOPS Ltd. celebrated the grand opening of its new Service Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on 23 April 2009. This centre will be the focal point for the company's technical services business, providing aircraft component repair, health monitoring and non-destructive testing services for both military and commercial customers in Canada.

The opening ceremony was attended by many of the company's customers, partners and suppliers as well as representatives from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). Mayor Peter Kelly of the Halifax Regional Municipality and Trevor Zinck of the Nova Scotia Legislative Assembly were on hand to congratulate the company and to participate in a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

GasTOPS is an authorized repair facility for FLIR Systems Inc. electro-optical/infra-red (EO/IR) thermal imaging and stabilized camera systems, Breeze-Eastern Corporation hydraulic and electrical rescue hoist systems and Dynamic Instruments Inc. vibration analyzers and transducer test kits.

In his remarks at the ceremony Dave Muir, President and CEO of GasTOPS stated: "The establishment of this new Service Centre in the Halifax area was, in large measure, due to the support and encouragement we received from our customers, partners and Government agencies such as ACOA. We plan to put deep roots into this market and this community as we expand our technical services business in Canada".
