Wesley Young, an attorney with the law firm of Baron & Budd, P.C., has been elected to serve as Chair of the Asian Pacific Interest Section (APIS) of the State Bar of Texas for the 2005 - 2006 session.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 3, 2005 -- Wesley Young, an attorney with the law firm of Baron & Budd, P.C., has been elected to serve as Chair of the Asian Pacific Interest Section (APIS) of the State Bar of Texas for the 2005 - 2006 session.

Youngs role as chair of APIS will include representing APIS members in State Bar matters, developing relationships between local Asian American Bar associations, initiating a local chapter in Austin, organizing the groups annual retreat, representing APIS at State Bar functions, and acting as the communications liaison between APIS members and the State Bar of Texas.

Young is an attorney serving in the asbestos litigation practice at Baron & Budd, P.C., representing victims of asbestos-related diseases such as mesothelioma.

Formed in 1995, the Asian Pacific Interest Section (APIS) of the State Bar of Texas was created to be a Texas-wide umbrella organization to advocate and promote the common professional interests of lawyers of and interested in Asian Pacific American heritage, community and culture.
