American Idol: Reality Mirrors Fiction In an interesting twist of fate the latest American Idol rumours of improprieties between Paula Abdul and one of the contestants, seem to very closely resemble the story told in Sabine Keevils current novel, All Access. (PRWEB) May 5, 2005 -- In an interesting twist of fate the latest American Idol rumours of improprieties between Paula Abdul and one of the contestants, seem to very closely resemble the story told in Sabine Keevils current novel, All Access.
As Keevil commented, If I had written the book after all these allegations started flying around people would probably have thought that I was just ripping the story from the headlines."
When setting out to write the novel she had no way of knowing it would be completed just as a similar controversy would arise in the real world. The book is about a fictional reality show, in the vein of American Idol meets Nashville Star. In the story, just as the winner is announced, rumours start flying about improprieties between the winner and one of the judges. The resulting scandal threatens to destroy the credibility of the show, leading to the winner losing the promised recording contract.
Keevil, who is currently looking for a publisher for All Access, has published two previous novels also targeted toward the entertainment industry, Guitars & Cadillacs, and Long Way Home. Both have received wonderful reviews in both the writing and entertainment press.
