American Marksman Featured as NRA Range Conference Reception Sponsor

Statistics from AM's 2004 Range Owner Survey provided conference attendees with performance benchmarks for the shooting industry.

Pensacola, FL (PRWEB) May 6, 2005 -- American Marksman Group (AM) was recently invited as an industry vendor to sponsor an evening reception for the attendees of the NRA Range Development & Operations Conference in Houston from April 19-24. Several other range vendors, along with AM, amplified the material and syllabus of the NRA Range Department. AM provided conference attendees current economic and participation statistics for the shooting industry in addition to newly established industry benchmarks, a core competency for AM.

Mark Eberhard, CEO and President of American Marksman stated, "This is an opportunity to give back to the industry, specifically in areas that are not openly available to prospective or current range owners. The information provided to the conference attendees will give them a much clearer viewpoint of where they need to start in their planning process."

This past fall, AM completed the 2004 Range Owner Survey, a collection of data defining the critical factors necessary for a successful and profitable shooting business. This data established benchmarks for use by an individual range to measure itself and identify areas for improvement. AM's presentation at the NRA Range Conference explained the generic correlating and non-correlating factors that separate poor or mediocre indoor ranges from top performers.

Conference attendee Mark Roth of Wisconsin acknowledged, "The NRA curriculum was excellent and comprehensive. Additionally, the American Marksman presentation augmented the NRA's course well and was very valuable in my collection of information on the shooting range industry." In his evaluation of the shooting industry with the inclination to start a range business, Mr. Roth added, "I now have a preponderance of the information I need in order to make the decision to get started. I also know where to go to get further information if and when required."

The NRA provides four range development and operations conferences per year. The conferences attract individuals and groups from commercial, public, private, law enforcement and military communities. AM plans to continue working alongside the NRA Range Conferences as well as expanding and promoting professionally-operated range facilities throughout the United States.
