Washington D.C. (PRWEB) May 9, 2005 -- Author Kimberly Smith has been scheduled to sign her new book at the 8th Annual For Sisters Only Expo. The expo, which expects a crowd of over 25,000 attendees on Saturday, June 4th, will include performances and exhibits by national recording artists, fashion experts, and many more. This will be Smiths first public signing since the books release.

Smiths exciting new book BlackBerry Soul Celebrations, A Handbook for African-American Bridal and Baby Showers," has been described as laugh out loud funny, informative, and timely. Written with the African-American woman in mind, it is the only book in print that describes more than 100 hilarious, synergy-creating, culturally flavored games and themes for family and friends for both wedding showers and baby showers. To top it off, there is a hefty resource list for further reading as well as budget, location and guest list planners, and the all-important shopping list.

The D.C. area author says she came up with the idea for the book after attending several showers (including her own) that did not reflect the lives of those around her. Smith decided that she had to create a tool and resource for shower planners nationwide to help them create and celebrate ethnic-themed showers. The result is seven years worth of inspired ideas on how to plan a memorable and soulful shower.

The author says after so many years of hard work on this project, she is excited to have the opportunity to personally autograph copies of the new book at the For Sisters Only Expo. Those unable to attend the event can purchase the book through Amazon.com, Cushcity.com, or directly from the publisher at Blackberrysoul.com.
