Andromeda Country Club Showcased at Toronto and London Trade Shows

The Andromeda Country Club met with enthusiastic response as representatives of the stunning seaside community in Panama unveiled the project in Canada and London earlier this month. The overseas property trade shows - Toronto's PanaExpo and London's prestigious "A Place in the Sun", based on the popular TV series - are two of the most important shows worldwide, gathering thousands of potential buyers, trade professionals and developers in the vacation real estate market.

Pedasí, Panama (PRWEB) May 6, 2009 -- The Andromeda Country Club met with enthusiastic response as representatives of the stunning seaside community in Panama unveiled the project at Canadian and British trade shows.

The second annual PanaExpo took place at the Toronto Congress Centre last weekend, drawing dignitaries, real estate agents, developers and buyers from Panama and Canada to learn about one of the most sought-out regions of the world today.

The four-day conference featured seminars on a variety of hot topics in Panama, including real estate, retirement, asset protection and more, with a variety of projects on display.

Event planners say Canadians represent a staggering 30% of real estate buyers in Central America, making them one of the most important demographic groups in the market.

"We received a really strong response to our project," said Rafi Museri of Dekel Panama S.A., the development group behind the Andromeda Country Club. "Canadians are very interested in Panama right now, in large part thanks to the strong Canadian currency.

"They are excited at this rare opportunity to own a piece of beachfront land in a country that's safe, beautiful, and very accessible."

Andromeda met with similar success earlier this month at the prestigious "A Place in the Sun Live" show in London, England, based on the popular British television series helping people find their ideal home abroad. The show featured more than 200 exhibitors from 40 countries around the world.

According to organizers, more than one million Britons are expected to relocate abroad in the next five years, and the majority of show attendees are looking to spend in excess of £190,000 (roughly $274,000 USD).

"Panama is becoming a major air hub in the Americas, and this makes it very attractive to European buyers," says Mr Museri. "Our project is also extremely affordable by European standards; it's unheard of to be able to own tropical beachfront property at just $120 per square meter, in a country of such overall quality as Panama."

Panama has garnered a great deal of international media attention for its booming real estate, and economic stability in the face of a global financial downturn.

The Azuero Peninsula in particular is now becoming one of the most desirable regions in the country, thanks to a drier climate, dozens of pristine beaches, and excellent offshore fishing along what is known as the "Tuna Coast". Development has hardly touched this charming corner, rife with local culture and folklore, which nevertheless boasts top-notch infrastructure including smoothly paved roads and high-speed internet.

Andromeda is located on the southeast tip of the peninsula, near the charming town of Pedasí. The 40-hectare vacation community offers sweeping views of Pacific Ocean and the exquisite island reserve of Isla Iguana, fronting two sandy beaches, Playa El Toro and Playa La Garita that dip gradually into the warm Pacific waters. Pedasí's beaches boast several surfing breaks of varying levels, the most notorious being Playa Venao, which hosted the Central American Surf Championship last year.

Home lots at Andromeda range from 800 to 1500 square meters, all with ocean views, and homeowners can choose from five model homes designed by acclaimed Costa Rican architect Ronald Zürcher. The Zürcher name has appeared on such iconic brands as the Four Seasons, JW Marriott and Hilton, among many, and is renowned creating distinctive spaces in harmony with the landscape, with a focus on natural materials, sweeping shapes and exquisite finishes.

Residents will enjoy a full suite of on-site amenities, with a sprawling beach club, restaurant and bar; a variety of fitness facilities including a community swimming pool, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a children's playground, numerous walking trails and green areas nestled around the property's two natural creeks. The gated community also features a business center, and 24-hour security.
