DataBank IMX Awarded California Document Conversion Services Contract

Sacramento Regional Production Center to provide document management services and document management solutions throughout the State of California

Beltsville, MD (PRWEB) May 6, 2009 -- The State of California Department of General Services - Procurement Division (DGS-PD) - officially awarded DataBank IMX (DataBank) a contract as a qualified supplier of document imaging solutions (http://www.databankimx.com/case-studies.html), and document management services (http://www.databankimx.com/document-management.htm) through the California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) for Document Conversion (http://www.databankimx.com/scanning-paper.htm) and Document Management Services. The contract allows various publicly funded agencies and all State agencies to deal directly with DataBank IMX without the need to go through a formal bid process or to conduct an RFP. To become a vendor under these contracts, certain criteria must be met regarding quality assurances and reliability. This guarantees that government departments and agencies are dealing with an organization that has gone through this validation process.

"We used DataBank (http://www.databankimx.com/index.html) for our document conversion project to prepare, scan and index Human Resource files, said Pat Dalesandro, Position Control Coordinator for San Joaquin County. "DataBank picked up our documents and delivered them back to our doorstep after scanning and indexing them. They provided the data and images on CD's that were easily downloaded into our software platform. This project has been ongoing since last summer and concluded with completion of the contract in February. They have provided high quality, professional images specifically for our needs. They were on time, on budget and we are very pleased with their work."

John Gerry, DataBank's General Manager, Western Region (http://www.databankimx.com/databank-western-region.html), noted: "As the State of California moves forward with these procurement vehicles, it's just one more step towards enabling government, public education and publicly funded healthcare entities to easily solicit document conversion services from pre-approved vendors. DataBank was selected for this contract because we offer complete end-to-end document management and imaging services, high customer satisfaction and the security and infrastructure to protect the state's data and documents while in our possession."

After selecting DataBank in 2008 for a major project, Robert Roscoe, General Manager for Sacramento Suburban Water District, noted: "SSWD is taking yet another step to ensure we leverage technology to integrate our departments, provide information when and where it is needed, and ensure we drive efficiencies throughout our District. Leveraging the power of this new imaging system will allow us to provide a safe, secure and efficient operation."

Gerry added, "With deficits and reduced or eliminated budgets, it is even more critical that government entities carefully select their business partners who can deliver the best value for the investment."
