Sarcone's Deli Expands Outside South Philly Sarcone's Deli, 90-year South Philadelphia favorite expands in to suburbs through franchising Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) May 7, 2009 Sarcone's Deli, an award winning Philadelphia landmark, has signed their second franchisee of 2009. Anthony Bucci and Louis Sarcone, Jr, owners of Sarcone's Deli, recently decided to expand their 90-year old brand name through a limited franchise offering to the public and are proud to announce their second franchisees, Pete, Kathy and Bob Cassalia. The Cassalia's are scheduled to open their Sarcone's Deli (http://www.sarconesdeli.com) in the second quarter of 2009. Sarcone said, "Now is time for us to grow to the Philadelphia suburbs. Our customers have been asking us to do it for years. We chose to expand now because the Deli in South Philly is doing fantastic and the new franchise in Medford, New Jersey opened to rave reviews. We only select the best franchisees, they have to be the right fit, and the Cassalias are a perfect choice." Bucci added, "Our customers expect only the best from the Sarcone's name. Our attention to quality is why we have won so many Best of Philly Awards. We have the same attention to quality when we choose a franchisee. Pete, Kathy and Bob definitely fit the mold." Pete Cassalia, a crane operator who lives in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, had been eating at Sarcone's Deli for years and tells us "Whenever we work anywhere near South Philly, I would always send someone to Sarcone's Deli to pick up lunch. I have always thought it would be a fantastic business to open myself. When I heard they were franchising, I called them right away." The Deli will be run by Pete's wife Kathy and his son Bob, a recent US Navy Veteran. Bob smiled," I have been looking for what to do in the next chapter in my life. I served my country and now I want to serve people, with the best hoagies in Philly." Doug Jackson, who manages the Mid-Atlantic office of Upside Group Franchise Consulting headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ and assists Sarcone's in their selection process for new franchisees, adds, "Sarcone's is only offering a few franchise opportunities, so we need to look carefully at each applicant and be extremely selective about who becomes a franchisee. We are excited to be working with the Cassalias to fulfill their dream of running a successful family business." The Cassalias plan to open their Sarcone's Deli near their home. "We know a lot of people in our area." Kathy said, "We want everyone who comes into the Deli to feel like they have come home." ###
