Santa Rosa, California Based Spiritus Chosen by Financial Planning Association to Participate in Launching National Mentoring Program

The Financial Planning Association invited Sonoma County, CA based Spiritus Financial Planning Inc. founder Mark Zaifman and five other key financial planners from around the country to Denver to head up the team for their national mentoring program.

Santa Rosa, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2005 -- After joining the Financial Planning Association (FPA) just over a year ago, Spiritus Financial Planning, Inc. founder Mark Zaifman knew he wanted to become involved -- and their new national mentoring program was just what he was looking for. The goal of the program is to encourage and assist established financial planners in providing mentoring or counseling to both new graduates and those new to the industry.

I have been impressed time and again, with the support and interest the staff at FPA have shown," states Zaifman. After placing a phone call to FPA president Jim Barnash, which in turn led to a conference call brainstorming session regarding the proposed mentoring program, Zaifman became comfortable with the informality and accessibility of the FPA executive staff. There are no egos involved here, these folks see a need in the industry, so they roll up their sleeves and get the job started."

Eager graduates are coming out of school with degrees in economics, accounting and financial planning, armed with enthusiasm and energy. They want to help people plan their financial futures through economic forecasting, developing financial strategies, tax analysis and retirement planning. The FPAs mentorship program matches seasoned financial planners with new grads who get a glimpse into what a financial planning practice looks like. The new grad stays interested, excited and motivated. It keeps the experienced planner fresh, energized and informed -- a true win-win situation.

The FPAs Executive Director, Marv Tuttle invited Zaifman and five other key financial planners from around the country to Denver on May 3rd, to head up the team for the national mentoring program. Meeting Marv and the rest of the team gave me more incentive and excitement to make this mentoring program come alive. I cant wait to expand on our discussions and begin implementing this terrific program," said Zaifman.

The dictionary states that a mentor is 'a wise and trusted counselor or teacher. Zaifman hopes his clients continue to view him as such. He dreams of mentoring more people in the financial planning profession, who in turn, will pass on their knowledge in helping others secure their financial futures.
