Don't Lose Your Creative Ideas: Expert and Award-Winning Artist Offers Tips Expert and Award-Winning Artist Offers Tips to Keep Creative Ideas in the Forefront Hollister, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2005 Everyone can benefit from greater creativity. Creativity transforms good ideas into great ideas. Creative thinking can give insight into overcoming challenges. It enhances the ability to problem solve. And the good news is, according to award winning artist Shannon Grissom  everyone is creative. ÂTapping into each individualÂs creative ability is vital to an organization maximizing their results, says Grissom. ÂEven if youÂve never considered yourself creative, there are proven techniques and approaches to help anyone claim their own creativity. Grissom offers the following tips to help develop oneÂs creative process: 1) DonÂt initially dismiss any idea. ÂWe often disregard the ideas that pop in our head, thinking theyÂre too crazy, foolish, or you just donÂt have time, says Grissom. ÂIf you dismiss your ideas on a consistent basis, soon youÂre brain will turn-off the creative process. 2) Write it down. ÂKeep a file, a notebook or a voice recorder near you at all times and get those ideas down so you wonÂt forget them, she says. Then set aside some time each week to review your ideas. 3) Take time to develop a plan. ÂWhen reviewing your ideas, think of ways that you can develop your ideas. Then embrace the ones you know you can accomplish by making a plan and breaking it down it achievable steps, says the artist. 4) Do some research. ÂFind out how others have developed similar ideas, not to copy, but to learn what works best, says Grissom. ÂThat way you can avoid some of the same mistakes along the way. According to Grissom, people who routinely follow these steps find they are able to develop creative skills, expanded sense perception, concept innovation and problem solving, increased inspiration and brainstorming. ÂBecoming more creative allows you to find new ways of looking at life. It can be exciting and transformative, she says.
