They have a powerful presence and skill. San Leandro, CA (PRWEB) May 22, 2009 -- Temple Beth Sholom has been a staple in the community of San Leandro for over 50 years. What happens over 50 years time is that building codes change. Standards of safety change. The nonprofit preschool Beth Sholom Preschool operates inside this building that is no longer up to code. This renders a significant portion of the preschool building unusable. The organization has undertaken the task of raising funds to bring the building up to code, and thus become usable.
Once the building is brought up to code, the preschool will offer more service to the community, and provide several job opportunities to the community.
Fundraising Chairperson, Phyllis King, says "this is a labor of love for everyone involved. It's a pivotal time for this community and this unique building."
