There’s Still Time to Register for the Good Sam Ice Cream Ride ‘N Stride

Join Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y., on Sunday, June 5, for its annual Ice Cream Ride ‘N Stride - a 5K Walk, 10K Run, and Bike Tour, with ride options for all skill levels - an exciting 30 and 45 mile, and a challenging 60 mile and Century. This annual cycling and walk/run event is hosted by Good Samaritan Hospital to raise funds to purchase cardiac defibrillators.

Join Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y., on Sunday, June 5, for its annual Ice Cream Ride ‘N Stride - a 5K Walk, 10K Run, and Bike Tour, with ride options for all skill levels - an exciting 30 and 45 mile, and a challenging 60 mile and Century.

The Ice Cream Ride ‘N Stride features the following:

•Well-marked routes through the beauty, richness and heritage of Rockland County, for all levels of participants, beginning and ending at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y.

•Light breakfast and buffet lunch compliments of Bagel Train, Outback Steakhouse and Marcello’s Ristorante

•Cycling rest stops equipped with beverages, power snacks and ice cream!

•Races and fun activities for children throughout the day

•Hal Fogel Memorial Scholarship for 2 participants in the 13-19 age category, based on a 100-word essay, “What Fitness Means to Me”

•Great door prizes and finish line party featuring live music and the Z100 Party Patrol

Walk/run fees are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event. Bike ride fees are $55 in advance and $75 on the day of the event. Registrants can save $5 per person by registering families or groups of four or more by June 1.

Proceeds raised from sponsorships and participant fees will be used to purchase advanced cardiac defibrillators for Good Samaritan Hospital. A percentage of the Ride participation fees will support county-wide bike programs and safe-road advocacy via the Rockland Bicycling Club.
