Pro Audio Digital Distribution Courses Released

The Digital Music Doctor has released four pro audio interactive video courses in digital distribution format. These courses, which cover Cakewalk Sonar 4, Steinberg Cubase SX 3, Sony Acid Pro 5, and Sony Sound Forge 8, have previously been available as CD-ROMs. The digital distribution versions of these courses have the same content and audio-video quality as the CD-ROM versions.

(PRWEB) May 26, 2005 -- The Digital Music Doctor has released four pro audio interactive video courses in digital distribution format. These courses, which cover Cakewalk Sonar 4, Steinberg Cubase SX 3, Sony Acid Pro 5, and Sony Sound Forge 8, have previously been available as CD-ROMs. The digital distribution versions of these courses have the same content and audio-video quality as the CD-ROM versions.

Because of widespread availability of broadband Internet connections, it has become feasible to offer these courses in a digital distribution format. The courses are each packaged as two large files (100-200 megabytes) which require 10-20 minutes each to download with an Internet connection speed of at least 1.5 megabits per second. Each course contains approximately 2 hours of interactive video instruction as well as examples of music and audio projects created using the software that is being taught in the course. The video in these courses uses the compression techniques of Macromedia Flash and the resulting file sizes are typically about one-fifth that of other videos which use non-compressed formats.
