Epsom, New Hampshire Woman is Semi-Finalist in $25,000 Over the Moon Dream BIG Contest from Garelick Farms Carey Lafleurs dream of building the New England Park for Canine Placement is being considered for a $25,000 prize. Garelick Farms is asking for help from the public to go online and vote for their favorite dream for a New England community. Epsom, NH (PRWEB) May 27, 2005 -- Animal lover Carey Lafleur has a really big dream -- twenty-five acres to be exact. When Lafleur heard about the call for entries into Garelick Farms $25,000 Over the Moon Dream BIG Contest, she knew exactly what to do.
Careys dream is to build The New England Park for Canine Placement, a non-profit organization, is a 25-acre facility and Family Park for abandoned or abused dogs and puppies facing euthanasia. The Park will provide shelter, medical care, and onsite obedience training in a fenced environment for dogs and puppies to roam, socialize, and play with visitors. If she wins, prize money would go to support the canine project.
This is a unique concept in animal shelters," explains Lafleur. Obedience training is an essential part of having a successful relationship between a family and the family dog. When the family doesnt have the time to dedicate to the training, they decide to get rid" of their now 6--9 month old dog, often turning to a shelter. When obedience training is implemented, the success rate is far greater, thus making adoptions through The New England Park for Canine Placement much more successful compared to traditional animal shelters."
This January, when we launched Over the Moon milk, we knew we had a very special product. Consumers were telling us that this milk is a dream come true with the rich, creamy taste they love - but not the fat they want to avoid. We quickly realized that we should celebrate this product by making a New England community dream come true." stated Matt Samson, Marketing Director, Garelick Farms. We have received well over 150 dreams from around New England. When we read Careys entry, we were all very touched by the power of her idea. We hope that people will go to www.overthemoonmilk.com web site and read her entry along with the other semi-finalists dreams. We are inviting the public to vote for their favorite dream and help the judges to decide which dream to grant."
