Dr. Garcia comes to the Gardens Cancer Center from the North Shore Hospital and Medical Center in Miami. A highly acclaimed physician, he has spent nearly the last 20 years treating cancer patients in South Florida and is recognized as one of the first Radiation Oncologists in Florida to perform Radioactive Seed Implants to treat prostate cancer. Additionally, he was the first doctor in Florida to utilize the Cyber-knife to perform stereotactic radio-surgery. Dr. Garcia holds several certificates and has been published in numerous publications. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Florida Medical Association, is a delegate to the American Medical Association, a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, has served on the Executive Committee of the American Cancer Society, and is a fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology.
